Our Little Shop

The History

Winter Soul Studios began way back in 2010, shortly after graduating from Rocky Mountain College of Art & Design. Originally the shop was on Bigcartel, I later moved to Etsy in 2014. In 2022, I completely renovated my website, and decided to move shop back here for a number of reasons, one of which was I felt this showcased my art and fit the design of my new site so well! For many years, I also frequented in person conventions and festivals to sell my art and meet people face to face.

We hope to see familiar art lovers continuing to frequent our shop, I appreciate all of your support!

The Art and Artist

My name is Crystal, a Colorado native who still lives in Colorado! Nature and animals has always been my main source of inspiration. Overall, my aim is to help breathe life into worlds, creatures, and characters. Sometimes that means simply creating a lively sculpture of someone's pet, or painting an everyday scene of a fantastical creature. Other times I like to explore larger philosophical concepts and symbolism found in myth & folklore.

Over the years, I've worked hard to build my own business and build my portfolio to what you see today. I'm fortunate to work with so many others who love art, animals, nature and fantasy!

Recently, I’ve scaled back to working on art part time so that I can gain new skills in working with animals (in particular, working with dogs), and also so that I can put more focus on projects which make me feel passionate about art. Every purchase from this shop goes straight back to future projects and art supplies/equipment. Your support really does mean that I can keep creating!
