Loyalty - Shepherd Dog Altar Figurine

Following the now finished “Altar Cats” project, the newest line of collectible animal figurines are now here! My goal is to make lively sculptures which memorialize beloved pets and bring to life characters, while taking up a modest amount of your space. It's tiny art, with a big impact!

Selecting just one dog breed or group of breeds was so difficult. While I hope to one day add more breeds, I decided to start off with one of my childhood favorites, the shepherds. I've always loved that loyal focus in their eyes, and can think of so many coat colors that would look great on this figurine.

As with all my sculpts, I sculpt the original in a wax clay which never hardens. I hand pick all marbles from my collection, which are a variety of glass marbles (made by Vacor), mineral spheres, and various random marbles I find along the way. Each one is selected for its uniqueness and how I think it will look on the final sculpture. It is then molded, cast, and hand painted by myself, the artist. No 3D printing or AI is used in the process, it is handmade and human made from start to finish!

•Limited Edition: 15 casts total
•Size: About 2.5 in long x 1 in wide x 3.25 in tall
•Cast in resin with a real marble, hand painted in acrylic.
•Comes with a certificate of authenticity.

How to Order:
•After ordering through my shop, I will need some info from you (either you may reach out through the contact section, or if I don’t hear from you within 24 hours, I’ll reach out to you).

•These are custom hand painted sculptures - so please be prepared to send visual reference! Most of the time, people have asked me to paint the sculptures as their pets. Try to take photos in bright lighting, (preferably natural daylight), and many different angles. Characters and color scheme ideas are welcome too. Pictured are samples of previous sculptures. A lot of detail can be packed in a small space, but the accuracy depends on the quality of the reference you send.

•Let me know which number orb you would like (these numbers correspond to the cast number). Once an orb has been taken, it will be X’d out from the list. Each orb is unique and already cast, first come first serve, so ordering sooner is better! I do my best to color match the marbles, but please keep in mind marbles are notoriously difficult to photograph. Here is a list of the orbs:

14 -Cat’s eye red/blue, iridized (glass marble)
15 -Dark maroon with cyan swirls (glass marble)

•This is an interactive process! I will be sending you process photos, preferably via email, (I can also send through Discord). With your guidance, a miniature creature will be created!
